Sports Medicine Primary Care Physician
Dr. Michael Cassat is a Board-Certified Family Medicine and Sports Medicine Specialist with The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. With a focus on sports-related injuries, chronic overuse injuries, and conditions that occur as the result of sports training and trauma sustained during competition, Dr. Cassat is skillfully trained to treat high endurance athletes of all ages.
Dr. Cassat attended medical school at the University of Arkansas. He then completed an internship in Fayetteville at the Area Health Education Center Northwest. His residency was also fulfilled at Area Health with a focus on Sports Medicine. He has been a team physician for numerous high school students and professional teams. He is also a member of the Justin Sports Medicine team for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
Dr. Cassat's philosophy is simple: he strives to keep patients pain-free and active through accurate diagnosis and treatment. Whether a patient presents a fracture suffered during competition, or is experiencing chronic pain from years of extended training, Dr. Cassat is skillfully trained to treat these injuries on-site and work with each patient to find the best treatment option and solution in order to restore his or her active lifestyle.
